Quality Manager – Asbestos (6 month fixed term contract)

Quality Manager – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Shape Quality. Define Compliance. Lead Technical Excellence.

Step into a pivotal role where quality, governance, and technical assurance converge within a UKAS-accredited environment. As the Quality Manager on an innovative project, you will spearhead quality standards across a regulated technical sector, embedding compliance while collaborating with stakeholders and regulators.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining, overseeing, and enhancing the Quality Management System (QMS) within UKAS accreditation requirements, HSE guidance, and relevant ISO/IEC standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with ISO/IEC 17020 (conformity assessment – general requirements for bodies operating examination programmes) and ISO/IEC 17025 (general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories) across surveying, air monitoring, and laboratory analysis.
  • Provide strategic oversight of competence, authorisation, and procedural adherence, managing audit projects and liaising with:
    • UKAS Assessment Managers
    • HSE inspectors (where required)
  • Reinforce compliance credibility in client submissions and tenders, directly impacting business development.
  • Establish consistency, integrity, and quality standards across all service delivery domains by partnering with surveyors, analysts, technical specialists, and senior leadership.

Your Impact

In the early stages, you will:

  • Strengthen QMS control and visibility, minimising risk and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Streamline compliance alignment, maintaining alignment with accreditation standards.

As the role progresses, you will:

  • Drive continuous improvement across quality processes, operational efficiency, and technical performance.
  • Shape quality strategy and industry-leading compliance standards, positioning the organisation as a leader in regulatory governance.
  • Work closely with external regulators and internal stakeholders to further enhance operational excellence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
