This is a unique opportunity to influence how governance, quality, compliance and business processes support one of the UK's most exciting engineering programmes. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our management systems enable safe, efficient and effective business operations while supporting the delivery of a nationally significant programme.

Working within our Safety & Regulatory Affairs function, you'll provide leadership and governance oversight while coaching stakeholders across the organisation to embed excellence in quality management and continuous improvement. You'll also have the opportunity to deputise for the Head of Quality, supporting the management of quality and nuclear safety matters with organisational independence when required.

- Support audits, reviews and management system assessments.
- Drive corrective and preventative actions arising from assurance activities.
- Support ISO certification activities and ongoing compliance programmes.
- Ensure the IMS remains aligned with regulatory expectations and business requirements.
-
Build Strong Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with senior leaders, process owners, subject matter experts and business functions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
