Quality Manager
Healthcare Quality Manager – Arvato

Salary & Location
- Up to £53,000 per year
- Primary Location: Eastridge Park, East Midlands Gateway (1 day per week in Kings Norton, Birmingham)
- Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the Role
Are you passionate about driving high-quality services and continuous improvement? We’re seeking a energetic and detail-oriented Healthcare Quality Manager to join our growing Quality Team and lead quality assurance across two key operational sites.
Your role will involve:
- Guiding the Healthcare Quality Team and Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with international healthcare standards
- Enforcing Good Distribution Practice (GDP), ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 to maintain product safety, traceability, and patient protection
- Overseeing daily client quality demands, ensuring contracts are met and operational excellence is achieved
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operational Management
- Manage all operational aspects of the Healthcare Quality team, ensuring consistent compliance and performance reporting
- Lead initiatives to boost team engagement, motivate staff, and enhance collaboration across operational and functional teams
- Hold accountability for monthly Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliverable results
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Uphold full adherence to GDP, ISO 9001, and ISO 13485 while overseeing product traceability, storage, handling, and sourcing. This includes:
- Deviation and Corrective Action Management (CAPA)
- Supplier oversight, activation, deactivation, qualification, and performance regulation
- Internal and external auditing processes
- Training and change control administration
- Document control and audit trails
- Product qualification, calibration, validation, and temperature management systems
- Act as a delegate for "Responsible Person" (WDA(H) license holder) in the absence of the primary nominee
- Host and coordinate client regulatory and third-party audits, ensuring active participation and seamless execution

Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Develop and deliver healthcare-focused quality training workshops to ensure teams are well-versed in regulatory requirements, best practices, and innovative processes
- Raise awareness across all business units on quality, compliance, and operational alignment with patient safety and legal obligations
Client & External Engagement
- Represent Arvato in client business reviews, presentations, and negotiations related to Quality Agreements, KPIs, and contract compliance
- Collaborate with global Quality teams to harmonise best practices across Arvato’s UK Healthcare sites and units
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, regulatory bodies (e.g., MHRA, FDA), and industry experts
Usability & Employee Development
- Support business growth by actively contributing to healthcare projects (e.g., new procurements, customisation, risk mitigation)
- Coach departments in quality risk management, returns & recall processes, and document control best practices
Qualifications & Experience
Required: ✅ Specialist knowledge in healthcare quality, governance, or compliance (GDP, ISO 9001, ISO 13485) ✅ Strong understanding of WHO & European regulatory standards (MHRA, EU/GDP, FDA) ✅ WMS (Warehouse Management System) proficiency ✅ Proven track record in audit execution, CAPA processes, risk assessment, and compliance management ✅ Experience working across multiple operational sites and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams ✅ Results-driven mindset, with analytical purposiveness, and the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team
