Job Description
About the Role
We seek a Quality Manager to support quality assurance and quality control for a major infrastructure project within a highly regulated environment. This role is ideal for experienced quality professionals with expertise in Civil Construction, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, or Engineering, who enjoy collaborating with delivery teams to ensure compliance, quality standards, and successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities across project delivery.
- Develop, review, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Lead management and resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Conduct quality surveillance activities to verify compliance with project requirements.
- Review and maintain Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) and associated documentation.
- Support audits, inspections, and quality reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Teams to uphold quality standards.
- Identify quality risks and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality management systems.
- Produce clear quality reports and performance metrics.

🔹 Note: This role is not suitable for candidates with exclusive welding inspection/NDT-focused experience.
Requirements
Experience & Skills
✔ 2+ years in a Quality Manager/QA/QC Engineer role or equivalent. ✔ Strong grasp of QA/QC principles and experience in:
- Managing ITPs, NCRs, quality surveillance, and LTQRs
- Construction/civil engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or associated sectors ✔ Ability to engage with site teams, engineers, suppliers, and stakeholders. ✔ Proven organisation, analysis, and problem-solving skills. ✔ Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Qualifications
🎓 Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent military experience). ✅ Quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001) are a plus.

- Experience in nuclear or regulated industries.
- Proficiency with ISO 9001 and QMS frameworks.
- Experience supporting supplier/contractor quality.

Contract Details
📍 Location: South West UK ⏳ Type: Permanent 💶 Salary:
- £40,000 - £55,000/year (depending on experience)
