About the Role
The role of the Quality Management Lead (QML) is to ensure MEH Alliance (MEHA) quality requirements are complied with across the full project life cycle (Contract award, Design, Procurement, Manufacture, Test, Shipping, Construction/Installation, Test/Commission, and Contract close-out).
The primary purpose is to ensure supply-chain adherence to the contracted quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) requirements.
The secondary purpose is to support MEHA in achieving adherence with the Integrated Management System (IMS) arrangements.

During manufacturing, the QML will ensure that manufactured equipment and components conform to contract design and technical specifications.
The QML will work closely with all other project functions and the supply chain to guarantee that project quality is delivered consistently (safely, efficiently, and right first time) in compliance with the scope of work and quality arrangements.
Key Responsibilities

- Review, accept, and monitor quality deliverables produced by the supply chain
- Ensure manufacturing surveillance per contract is applied in a graded approach of safety function and project importance
- Ensure the effectiveness of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) submitted by suppliers, verifying they are fit for purpose from a quality perspective and correctly distributed for internal mark-up of witnessable activities
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contracted inspection entities
- Support the monitoring and technical resolution of non-conformances, including the management of corrections and corrective actions
- Responsible for reviewing end-of-manufacturing records and quality release of equipment from suppliers’ premises
- Implement the MEHA quality execution plan, ensuring quality management processes are correctly applied
- Provide line management of Quality Engineers, including setting objectives, monitoring performance, conducting annual appraisals, and supporting professional development

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
