Quality Manager
Quality Manager
We are looking for a Quality Manager to lead and embed best-in-class food safety and quality standards across a transforming production kitchen environment.
About the Role
This is a pivotal role responsible for driving the implementation and continuous improvement of food safety and quality management processes within production kitchens.
You will:
- Lead a team of Quality Controllers.
- Work closely with operational teams, chefs, and stakeholders to ensure standards meet both internal expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Support a culture of accountability and excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Build, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet regulatory and internal standards.
- Lead and develop the Quality Control function, ensuring strong capability and understanding across the team.
- Investigate customer complaints and implement effective reduction and prevention strategies.
- Partner with operations to deliver continuous improvement initiatives and achieve departmental KPIs.
- Coach and influence chefs and kitchen teams to embed food safety ownership and a strong quality culture.

About You
You will be a confident and collaborative quality professional with:
- A passion for driving high standards and continuous improvement in a fast-paced food production environment.
- Strong leadership capability, enabling you to:
- Motivate and develop a team.
- Effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Balance hands-on operational involvement with strategic oversight.
- Ensure compliance while influencing change.
- The ability to:
- Take ownership of challenges.
- Use data to inform decisions.
- Proactively champion food safety and quality.
- Adaptability to step in and support senior leadership when required.
Must-have qualifications and experience:
- Food Safety and HACCP qualification (minimum Level 3).
- Strong knowledge of BRC or equivalent GFSI food safety standards.
- Proven experience in a quality management role within:
- Food manufacturing or food service environments.
- (Ideally with Ready-To-Eat products in production kitchens).
