Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute quality assurance and control systems to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality finished goods and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct positive product release reviews, ensuring all quality criteria and specifications are met before goods leave the facility
  • Lead and support customer complaint investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments (Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Service) to address quality issues and develop effective solutions
  • Develop and implement preventative actions and quality improvement initiatives to minimise defects and enhance product performance
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of plant operations, manufacturing processes, and quality standards to provide informed guidance
  • Communicate quality findings, trends, and recommendations clearly to senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyse quality metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality procedures and documentation requirements
  • Provide training and guidance to production teams on quality expectations and process improvements
  • Maintain detailed quality records and documentation to support traceability and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of management experience within high-speed manufacturing industry, ideally in glass or packaging sectors
  • ISO audit qualification or internal auditor training certification
  • Demonstrated expertise in investigations and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance systems, manufacturing processes, and relevant quality standards
  • Proficiency in analysing quality metrics and key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with regulatory compliance and industry best practices in manufacturing
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and implementing corrective actions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior management
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programmes to production teams
  • Familiarity with quality documentation systems and traceability requirements
