Quality & Risk Co-ordinator

Three Shires Hospital

22.5 Hours & Permanent

Salary: Up to £30,000.00 FTE per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Three Shires Hospital in Northampton is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Quality & Risk Co-ordinator to join their team of staff in the Quality & Risk department.

This is a part-time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties Of This Role Include

  • To manage the complaints process in collaboration with the QRM, ensuring timely, fair, and effective resolution of all cases in line with Circle Health Group policy.
  • Support the local management and coordination of incident reporting, ensuring timely documentation, review, and closure of incidents in line with policy.
  • Assist in the investigation of adverse events, near misses, and complaints, contributing to root cause analysis and action planning.
  • Maintain accurate risk registers and escalate significant risks to relevant governance forums.
  • Coordinate internal audits, inspections, and quality monitoring activities across departments, ensuring action plans are implemented and reviewed.
  • Assist with compliance tracking against CQC, HIS, HIW, or equivalent standards, including preparation for inspections and reviews.
  • Collate, review, and present data related to quality metrics, KPIs, and governance performance.

Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria

  • Experience working in a quality, risk, governance, or clinical support role in a healthcare or regulatory environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Previous experience handling and resolving patient complaints is essential.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, including minute-taking and report coordination.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and governance systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of healthcare governance frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g. CQC, HIS, HIW).
  • Experience with incident reporting systems (e.g. Datix, Ulysses).
  • Training in root cause analysis or audit methodology.
  • Previous experience in private healthcare or hospital settings.
