Pay: £40,000 Per Annum
Location: Suffolk - Hybrid, working from home

Job Purpose / Overview
The quality support officer will be working within the Quality Management team in the Project Delivery Organisations. The Quality function is responsible for ensuring compliance with the quality management systems covering all activities within the scope of the PDO Quality team. This includes ensuring that nuclear industry and major project best practice quality management arrangements are defined and deployed across the SZC project and organisation.
The key objective is to ensure that all aspects of the Quality function within the PDO are supported and delivered consistently (safely, efficiently and right first time) delivering the strategic objectives that align with the Quality strategy and SZC project goals. This includes supporting the PDO Quality function to discharge responsibilities for compliance with a number of Nuclear Site License Conditions, ensuring that the quality management arrangements and requirements are developed and implemented for effective deployment by the SZC organisation and its supply chain, monitoring and reporting on overall quality performance and driving quality improvement activities and initiatives across the PDO.
Principal Accountabilities, Activities and Decisions
- Supporting the deployment of quality management arrangements across the SZC delivery organisation in accordance with the Quality strategy, and based on nuclear industry and major project best practice.
- Supporting quality audits across the delivery organisation.
- Collation and reporting of quality management data and reports from across the SZC organisation including quality audit reports, self-assessments, independent assessments, lessons learned, CFSI and non-conformance reports, quality execution plans and effectiveness reviews to support identification of issues, risks and opportunities.
- Raise issues, track actions and support improvements to resolve issues relating to the implementation of quality, and support others in these actions.
- Support the other functions within the PDO Quality department to ensure effective and consistent delivery of their responsibilities including:
- Cross-function/transverse coordination
- Identification, communication and implementation of lessons learned
- Provision and management of tools, systems and processes
- Collating of data and producing reports for analysis by the Quality team.
- Updating of trackers and ensuring written arrangements are in place and maintained.
- Provide high-quality support to the Quality Team.
- Draft professional correspondence, reports and presentations.
- Monitoring non-conformances, completing monthly reporting and chasing close out of actions.

Knowledge & Skills
Essential
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Comfortable working independently and using initiative.
- Highly adaptable, with a flexible approach in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a professional, discreet approach to sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Positive, proactive mindset with a willingness to get stuck in.
Desirable
- Teamcenter EDRMS experience would be advantageous.
- Knowledge & understanding of the nuclear industry/Nuclear Site License conditions.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Broad experience in supporting large teams and summarising complex information into reports.
- Some experience of delivering results/working to deadlines.
- Some experience of interaction and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multicultural environment.
Desirable
- Experience in the application of ISO9001/19443, ISO14001, ISO 45001 and GSR2 standard in a multidisciplinary project environment.
- Large-scale infrastructure project experience.
- Previous experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
- Previous experience within the nuclear industry.
