Quality Technician

Manufacture of High-Volume Consumer Products - Plastic

Based Banbury, Oxfordshire £negotiable salary

Keter, established over 77 years ago, are a global leader and manufacturer of resin based durable consumer lifestyle products including patio and garden furniture and indoor and outdoor storage solutions, in a rapidly expanding market sector.

They produce well-known brands such as Curver, Stewart and Keter from manufacturing sites globally, and their well invested site in Banbury, Oxfordshire, which operates 24/7, and houses injection and rotational moulding technology and sophisticated robotics, employs c180 people.

Already with a sound quality track record, but with a commitment to continuous improvement, Keter are now seeking to expand their team with the recruitment of a high potential Quality Technician who will be responsible for investigating and resolving their most challenging quality problems.   • Reading and interpreting complex blueprints and specifications, including customer and vendor specifications.
  • Developing and assessing alternative methods to achieve uniform quality including identifying process variables.
  • Monitoring and verifying products throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Utilisation of relevant lean/continuous improvement problem solving tools – root cause, 5 Why, 8D, etc.

Ideally Degree qualified, or equivalent, candidates will have proven experience in a quality role, gained in a complex, high volume, manufacturing environment and will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of quality control principles and practices. This experience will be combined with strong communication skills, a problem-solving approach, with attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
