Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Quality Technician!
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for quality in manufacturing? Our client is on the lookout for a skilled Manufacturing Quality Technician to join their dynamic team on a temporary basis for the next six months. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in ensuring product conformity and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing workflow.
Role Overview:
As a Manufacturing Quality Technician, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing inspection processes and contributing to the development of our quality management systems. Your expertise will help to optimise workflows and ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Improvement:
- Identify and lead initiatives to enhance inspection processes.
- Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency and compliance.
Inspection & Reporting:
- Review and approve inspection reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage and improve the Piweb inspection database and workflows.
Quality Systems & Compliance:
- Execute all quality activities with integrity, aligning with industry best practices.
- Support internal and external audits, contributing to readiness and execution.

Operational Excellence:
- Implement and enhance 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) routines.
- Develop KPIs and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics to boost performance.
Candidate Profile:
Are you the right fit? You will thrive in this role if you have:
- Extensive experience in manufacturing quality, including nonconformance handling and inspection reporting.
- A solid understanding of continuous improvement practices, such as TPM and 5S.
- The ability to write and maintain SOPs and work instructions.
- A collaborative mindset, working across departments to implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including ERP platforms and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience:
- Background in castings, additive manufacturing, and machined part inspection.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP systems and Zeiss Piweb inspection database.
- Knowledge of NADCAP procedures and participation in audits.
