Front Office Forward Deployed AI Engineer
Hawksworth are representing a Global FS client that are looking to hire a Front Office Forward Deployed AI Engineer, this would suit a Quant who has AI Technology skills.
This is London based, hybrid working (x3 days in the office, x2 days from home). The budget for this assignment is up to £140k + Bonus (20-25%) + package (depending on Level/ experience). We are looking at VP level.
About the Role
Our client is a globally recognised financial institution making significant investment in Artificial Intelligence across its Front Office technology function. As AI becomes central to the way investment decisions and research are produced, they are looking to hire an experienced Quant/ technologist who can bridge the gap between advanced engineering and Front-Office financial markets.

Responsibilities
- Combine strong software engineering skills with FO financial markets and modern AI experience.
- Have experience with:
- Python engineering, including building APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Deploying cloud-based applications using AWS technologies including ECS, EKS, Lambda, Bedrock, and Docker.
- Developing applications using modern Generative AI frameworks including LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent platforms.
- Delivering production-ready Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent-based architectures and MCP implementations, together with AgentOps, monitoring, CI/CD, and optimisation.
- A practical engineering approach with the ability to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver production-quality software.
- Knowledge of Front Office investment banking, quantitative research, or capital markets workflows.
- Familiarity with financial data providers such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or Refinitiv.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, and related integrations would be highly advantageous.
