We are supporting a Tier 1 / Tier 2 Investment Bank in the search for a Quant Developer (also known in some organisations as a Quantitative Analyst or Quantitative Strategist) to join a high-performing quantitative development team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and development of a next-generation pricing library being built from the ground up. The organisation is undertaking a strategic move to Rust due to its memory management advantages and to encourage adoption of modern engineering practices across the quantitative technology landscape.

- Work closely with Front Office, Quantitative Research, Trading, and Technology teams.
- Design scalable and high-performance solutions for pricing and risk calculation.
- Support the ongoing evolution of the bank's quantitative technology stack.
- Participate in the adoption and development of solutions within a modern Rust-based environment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
