Senior Python Quant Developer

Location: London - Hybrid
Rate: £750 p/d
Contract Duration: 6 months minimum

About Quant Capital

Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Senior Python Quant Developer to join a rapidly growing fintech.

Our client has built a global investment platform that helps investors analyze opportunities, collaborate and make more informed decisions.

Role Overview

They have developed a complex fixed-income model in C# and now need a strong Python engineer to work directly with the quants, understand the existing model and rebuild it into a clean, modular and production-ready Python codebase.

This is a hands-on role in a small team, with a high level of ownership and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Re-engineer a complex C# quant model in Python.
  • Refactor and modularise the existing codebase.
  • Work directly with quants to productionise the model.
  • Productionise the codebase by improving performance, testing and maintainability.
  • Build data validation and orchestration processes.
  • Work with Pydantic and PostgreSQL.

  • Strong commercial Python experience.
  • Good C# experience.
  • Pydantic.
  • PostgreSQL.
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills.
  • Experience working with complex numerical or data-heavy systems.
  • Computer Science degree or similar technical degree.

Desirable Experience

  • Fixed-income or broader financial markets experience would be useful but is not essential.
