About the Opportunity
Our client is a leading global quantitative trading firm looking to expand its systematic power trading platform with the addition of an experienced quantitative power trader. The firm has built a world-class research, technology, and execution infrastructure and is seeking individuals who can leverage that platform to scale profitable strategies across either European or US power markets.

The Role
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing systematic trading strategies across either European or US power markets. The firm is particularly interested in candidates who already have a proven approach or strategy they are looking to deploy within a best-in-class quantitative platform.

- Work alongside experienced researchers, engineers, and traders
- Retain ownership over your strategy and risk
- The firm provides the infrastructure, capital, and technological support required to maximise performance, allowing you to focus on generating alpha
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience trading European or US power markets
- Proven track record in systematic or quantitatively driven power trading
- Strong understanding of power market fundamentals, market microstructure, and quantitative modelling
- Demonstrable experience developing or running profitable trading strategies
- Candidates with an existing strategy they are looking to scale are particularly encouraged to apply
- Strong quantitative background with proficiency in Python or similar programming languages
- Experience working with large datasets, statistical analysis, and model development
- Excellent risk management and analytical skills
