This is a senior role for someone who already operates at, or is ready to step up to, Director level—and who wants real ownership of clients, methods and people.

This role will set the standard for the quantitative work we deliver across our tracking projects and act as a trusted strategic partner for some of the world's most exciting brands. We work with clients like Google, Samsung, Meta, Tesco, Ray-Ban, DAZN, BBC, Pernod Ricard, and Cancer Research UK—spanning sectors and covering more than 60 markets across segmentation, conjoint, pricing, U&A and integrated qual-quant studies.

Continuing to grow requires someone who can make an immediate impact by shaping research that genuinely changes client decisions, growing accounts, raising methodological standards, and mentoring the next generation of researchers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead complex tracking programmes: Take direct ownership of multi-market quantitative studies from proposal and research design through to questionnaire design, sampling oversight, fieldwork, analysis and final storytelling.
  • Strategic client partnership: Shift beyond data to deliver sharp, commercial recommendations that influence client decisions—with the consultative presence of a trusted senior advisor.
  • Own and grow accounts: Lead proposals and pitches, respond to RFPs, spot organic growth opportunities, and contribute to new business initiatives.
  • Methodological authority: Advise on design, sampling, weighting, and advanced analytics—ensuring key driver analysis, segmentation, choice modelling/conjoint, MaxDiff, pricing techniques and forecasting elevate quantitative standards across the team.
  • Champion innovation: Drive AI-enabled research capabilities and "Researcher + AI" approaches to tracking and discovery.
  • Develop the team: Line-manage, mentor and coach junior researchers, fostering their growth and progression.
  • Commercial responsibility: Manage project financials and contribute to the commercial performance of assigned portfolios.
  • External representation: Contribute to thought leadership and industry engagement, such as presentations at the MRS conference, to build Biel’s profile.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for

Your experience needn’t align with every point below. We’re open to conversations with passionate candidates who could thrive in this culture. However, here’s our ideal profile:

  • Expertise: Significant quant market research experience (typically 8+ years), predominantly agency-side, with a track record of end-to-end project leadership.
  • Methodological depth: Proven mastery of advanced quant techniques like segmentation, conjoint analysis, MaxDiff, choice modelling and pricing—with the ability to apply them confidently in daily work.
  • Client consulting: Exceptional people and consultative skills, enabling you to advise at senior advisory levels while nurturing strong client relationships.
  • Commercial acumen: Strong grasp of proposal writing, pricing, budget accountability, and account growth strategies.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in guiding and inspiring teams, with a commitment to career development for junior colleagues.
  • Storytelling analysis: Turn complex data into clear, compelling output that translates into actionable insights—precision, creative design and narrative skills are critical.
  • Attention to detail: High standards of accuracy and precision in all work, from sampling to reporting.
  • Project management: Ability to portfolio-manage multiple concurrent streams while maintaining delivery quality.
  • Tools & adaptability: Confident with research/analytics platforms (Q, SPSS etc.) and eager to explore AI-enabled innovations.
  • Education: A relevant degree (e.g., marketing, economics, statistics, social sciences or psychology) is helpful, but experience and thinking are the defining factors.

Be inspired by your past, not beholden to it. Some candidates won’t check every box, yet may be a great cultural and technical fit. All enthusiastic applicants are welcome—especially if disadvantages have shaped your career so far.
