Quantitative Researcher

Cricket Quantitative Researcher | Sports Betting Hedge Fund | London or Leeds

Python • TensorFlow • Statistics • Sports Modelling

We're partnering with a cutting-edge sports betting hedge fund in London or Leeds that's building some of the most sophisticated predictive models in the industry. If you're passionate about statistics, machine learning, and cricket analytics, this is an opportunity to work on high-impact research that directly drives trading performance.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and refine probabilistic models to predict sporting outcomes
  • Extract insights from large-scale sports and market datasets
  • Research, test and deploy innovative modelling approaches
  • Work alongside elite quants, researchers and traders solving complex real-world problems
  • Contribute to a culture built around experimentation, data-driven decision making and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years' experience in the sports betting industry
  • Strong academic background in Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field
  • Experience within electronic trading environments
  • Advanced Python skills (NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow)
  • Excellent academic track record (top grades throughout education)
  • Kaggle profile or demonstrable hands-on modelling/research experience
  • Interest or expertise in cricket is highly desirable
