Quantitative Researcher - Digital Assets | High-Frequency Trading (Dubai)
We are working exclusively with a leading proprietary trading firm specialising in high-frequency market making across digital asset markets. Founded by professionals from some of the world's top electronic trading firms, the team includes talent from elite prop desks, global technology companies and systematic trading operations. Based in Dubai with a growing team the firm is scaling aggressively and looking for exceptional quant talent to join their operation.
The Role
As Quantitative Researcher, you will drive alpha generation and strategy research for one of the most technically sophisticated crypto HFT operations in the market. Working in a data-rich, fast-moving environment, you will research, develop and validate systematic trading strategies from signal discovery through to live deployment alongside quant developers and traders.

Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop alpha signals and systematic trading strategies in crypto markets
- Conduct rigorous statistical analysis and machine learning-driven signal research on tick-level data
- Build and maintain backtesting frameworks with realistic market impact and transaction cost models
- Collaborate with QDs and QTs to bring strategies from research into production
- Stay ahead of market microstructure dynamics in digital asset markets
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the research infrastructure and tooling
Requirements
- Proven background at a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm or market maker — non-negotiable
- Strong quantitative research skills: statistics, time-series analysis, machine learning
- Expert Python: NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Demonstrable track record of generating live alpha with measurable results
- Deep understanding of market microstructure and short-horizon signal dynamics
- Crypto or HFT research experience a strong advantage
- PhD or Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science or related discipline preferred
- Dubai-based or willing to relocate; exceptional remote candidates considered
