IN SHORT

Do you enjoy solving complex quantitative challenges and influencing risk decisions in a fast-paced energy trading environment?

We're looking for a Quantitative Risk Analyst to play a key role in shaping and enhancing our quantitative risk framework. In this highly visible position, you'll lead critical modelling initiatives, independently validate valuation and exposure models, and act as a trusted advisor to Risk Management, Middle Office, and senior stakeholders across the business.

Alongside delivering high-impact projects, you'll mentor junior analysts, champion best practices, and contribute to the ongoing development of our quantitative risk capabilities.

What Will You Do

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain risk models supporting the SEFE Group Risk Framework, including MVaR, CMaR, CVaR and PFE methodologies.
  • Independently validate valuation, exposure, P&L, and balance sheet models to ensure robustness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive quantitative projects from concept to implementation, delivering solutions that support business growth and effective risk management.
  • Provide expert advice on quantitative risk topics to Risk Management and Middle Office teams.
  • Maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for models, methodologies, and validation processes.
  • Act as a key contact during external audits and assurance reviews, supporting investigations into valuation and risk methodologies.
  • Mentor and develop other analysts, helping to establish technical excellence and best practices across the team.
  • Support the Head of Quantitative Risk with team development, recruitment, and capability building initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
