Electronic Risk Manager (Associate) — Global Credit Automated Trading Strategies Location: London
This role is designed for finance professionals eager to excel in a dynamic electronic trading environment, focusing on credit trading algorithms and risk management for a global top-tier firm.
About the Role
Join J.P. Morgan’s front office team as an Electronic Risk Manager within the Global Credit Automated Trading Strategies desk. You’ll play a key role in governing electronic credit trading operations, collaborating across institutional and corporate accounts while managing risk, liquidity, exposure, pre-trade analysis, and optimising risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic risk oversight: Lead price delivery, risk management, and data analytics for the Electronic Global Credit franchise, ensuring operational excellence.
- Client engagement: Deliver a high service standard by addressing daily client requests, offering tailored solutions, and aligning with clients’ evolving needs.
- Market insights: Continuously analyse market trends, evaluate developments, and propose creative strategies to enhance client outcomes.
- Data-driven decision-making: Perform rigorous business analysis to assess revenue drivers andстрой a deeper understanding of their turbulent dynamics.
- Policy enforcement: Ensure compliance with firm policies for managing credit risk, market risk, and operational risk across trading.

Requirements
Mandatory
- Degree: Bachelor’s or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Prior work in Global Credit Trading or adjacent functions.
- Technical knowledge: Strong grasp of fundamental/CTR products, with an ability to anticipate market shifts.
- Transaction expertise: Proficiency in trade execution strategies and the complete transaction lifecycle.
- Communication skills: Exceptional verbal/written clarity, excelling in translating complex trading concepts for clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Resilience: Adaptability to thrive in a high-pressured, time-critical, fast-moving environment with unwavering focus under duress.
Preferred Plus Points
- Tech acumen: Fluency in Python or other programming languages.
- Analytical aptitude: Proficient in conducting advanced data analysis and present findings in accessible ways.
- Client relations: Direct experience managing B2B relationships, adding value beyond business requirements.
- Self-direction: Highly motivated, autonomous, and capable of delivering results with minimal oversight.

This role involves licensing within the UK financial services scope. Successful candidates must meet UK credibility, knowledge, and competence standards as validated by J.P. Morgan. Where required, regulatory approval will be sought from the UK Financial Conduct Authority and Prudential Regulation Authority.
