Quantity Surveyor
Blue Diamond Recruitment are working on a new exciting opportunity that has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and well-established construction consultancy.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor looking to work on a diverse portfolio of high-quality projects across the residential and commercial sectors. You'll have the opportunity to manage your own projects from inception through to completion while working within a supportive and collaborative team that offers genuine long-term career progression.
The role offers a varied workload, with projects ranging from bespoke residential developments through to affordable housing, commercial schemes, and community-focused developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to final account.
- Provide cost management and commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as Employer's Agent where required, managing projects on behalf of clients.
- Prepare cost plans, valuations, and financial reports.
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Manage variations and assess their commercial impact.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Undertake site visits and monitor project progress.
- Produce tender documentation and evaluate contractor submissions.
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while delivering a high standard of service.

To be considered for this opportunity, you'll have a minimum of five years' experience within Quantity Surveying and be capable of managing projects independently. You'll have a strong understanding of construction contracts, ideally including JCT, together with excellent commercial awareness and experience managing variations and project costs.
