Quantity Surveyor – Northern Region (UK)

The Role

As our Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take the lead on high-impact projects, ensuring financial discipline and value for money throughout the entire project lifecycle—from early conception to completion. If you’re driven, meticulous, and passionate about transforming the built environment, this is an opportunity to grow in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities

Financial & Contractual Management

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents to maintain financial control
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, including contract negotiation, valuations, and payment processing
  • Deliver accurate financial reports, forecasts, and cost analyses to inform project decisions
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring projects stay on target
  • Lead the preparation of final accounts, resolving contractual claims and settling contracts

Collaboration & Project Execution

  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth, deadline-driven delivery
  • Align cost strategies with project objectives, balancing quality with financial constraints

Requirements

(Applicants from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply—transferable skills and potential matter as much as experience.)

  • A Commerce-, Construction-, or related degree (or equivalent experience) is preferred
  • Relevant industry experience (e.g., quantity surveying, construction, or property development)
  • Strong cost management, contract administration, and financial forecasting skills
  • Detail-oriented temperament with an ability to thrive under pressure
