Quantity Surveyor
We are currently recruiting for two Quantity Surveyors on behalf of one of our clients in Slough.
Junior Quantity Surveyor – 5+ years' experience
Senior Quantity Surveyor – 10+ years' experience
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business delivering complex construction and civil engineering projects. The successful candidates will work across a diverse portfolio of projects, administering both JCT and NEC forms of contract. This is a hybrid role with a salary ranging from £40,000-£80,000 depending on experience.
The Role
You will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account, ensuring strong financial control and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing all quantity surveying and commercial functions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Preparing and managing Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
- Cost planning, cost analysis and financial reporting.
- Managing procurement activities, including subcontract procurement.
- Contract administration under both JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- Valuations, variations, change management and final account settlement.
- Working closely with project teams to ensure commercial performance and effective cost control.

About You
Junior QS:
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience.
Senior QS:
-
Minimum 10 years' relevant experience.

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Building, or a related discipline.

Professional membership of RICS is desirable.

Experience working across both construction and civil engineering/groundworks projects.

Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Experience in cost management, CVRs, procurement, reporting and final account negotiation.

Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
