Quantity Surveyor
Sheffield | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Benefits
An established and growing engineering and construction business is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team based in Sheffield.
Working on a varied portfolio of civil engineering and infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for managing commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring contracts are delivered profitably while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account.
- Preparing valuations, applications for payment and cost reports.
- Administering contracts and managing variations.
- Procuring and managing subcontractors.
- Monitoring project budgets, forecasts and commercial risk.
- Supporting project teams to maximise commercial performance.
- Negotiating final accounts and resolving commercial issues.

About You:
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, civil engineering or specialist manufacturing.
- Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Degree qualified or equivalent experience in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is desirable.
