Quantity Surveyor
Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire
A well-established main contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team based in St Albans.
The business delivers a mixture of refurbishment and new build projects across Hertfordshire, London, and Cambridge, with schemes valued up to £10m. This particular opportunity sits within their busy Special Works division, where you'll be responsible for multiple public sector projects including schools, libraries, and churches, typically valued up to £2m.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload and wants exposure to multiple live projects within a supportive and growing business.

The Role
- Commercial management of multiple projects
- Procurement of subcontract packages
- Valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Client and subcontractor liaison
- Working closely with the Head of Commercial and operational teams
About You
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Main contractor background
- Experience delivering refurbishment and/or new build projects
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
