About the Company
A growing principal contractor specialising in full design & build delivery is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of projects across a diverse and expanding portfolio. The business delivers mixed‑use developments predominantly made up of commercial and retail units, gyms, multi‑storey and surface car parks, and industrial facilities.
With a head office near Windsor, the role offers flexibility to work from home, attend sites nationwide, and spend selected days in the office. This is an opportunity to join a contractor that is scaling across multiple regions and values autonomy, accountability, and hands‑on commercial management.
About the Role
You will join a well‑established and growing construction business delivering end‑to‑end project solutions as the principal contractor. The commercial team is expanding to support a strong pipeline of new schemes, with projects typically managed from early design stages through construction and final handover.
The role provides genuine ownership of your projects, working closely with operational teams to maintain commercial control across the full lifecycle. You will be involved in both civils and build phases, supporting delivery on fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary schemes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
