The Quantity Surveyor will:
- Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Cost plan from early design through to successful project delivery
- Assist in preparing and evaluating tender documents
Key Tasks:
- Monitor project costs and manage variations
- Prepare interim valuations regularly
- Generate detailed cost reports for stakeholders and clients
- Liaise with site teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to:
- Verify quantities
- Agree costs
- Maintain accurate financial records throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
Core Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven expertise in cost planning and cost management, including developing/maintaining cost plans throughout projects
- Capable of cost control and cost reporting, with ability to:
- Monitor budgets
- Manage changes (variations)
- Produce clear financial documentation
- Proficiency in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) with focus on measurements, accuracy, and attention to detail

Technical Competencies:
- Construction/building experience in residential or commercial projects is highly preferable
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with:
- Standard Quantity Surveying software
- Advanced MS Excel techniques
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication for negotiating and collaborating with:
- Project managers
- Site teams
- Suppliers & subcontractors
- Ability to:
- Work independently in a hybrid environment
- Manage multiple deadlines
- Keep thorough and organised documentation
Qualifications:
A relevant degree or technical qualification in a field such as:
- Quantity Surveying
- Construction Management is advantageous, though equivalent experience may be considered.
