Quantity Surveyor
Quantity Surveyor Role – Bristol (Hybrid Working Available)
About the Role
Our client is seeking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Quantity Surveyor, based in Bristol with hybrid working options.
You will report directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor (QS) and oversee:
- Key accounts on large projects
- Full financial control of smaller projects
Our client is a leading integrated design-and-build provider specialising in the UK water and infrastructure sector, operating nationally with over 1,000 professionals.
Key Responsibilities

Cost & Financial Management:
- Applications, valuations, and cost reconciliation
- Cost control, forecasting, and monthly reporting (value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow)

Contract & Procurement:
- Contract management and oversight of contractual forms
- Budgetary control and associated reporting
- Prepare and negotiate subcontract enquiries and contracts

Project Support:
- Ensure documentation (notifications) and site safety risks are addressed promptly
- Mentoring & liaison with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Risk and Value Management to optimise solutions

Compliance & Advice:
- Provide contractual advice to site teams as needed

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification
- ARICS membership or eligibility for APC (Assessment of Professional Competition)
- Experience working with a main contractor
