Quantity Surveyor
FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.

Quantity Surveyor Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team. In this role, you will play a key part in the successful commercial management of projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities
Cost Control: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture, analyse, and control project costs Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to ensure business requirements are met Contract Management: Manage the main contract, including issuing notices and correspondence Subcontract Administration: Prepare and issue subcontract documentation Subcontractor Management: Assist in managing and evaluating subcontractor performance Payment Management: Oversee the preparation and approval of applications for payment Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost-value reports Mentorship: Guide and develop junior commercial team members Continuous Learning: Actively seek out and engage in professional development opportunities Positive solutions: Approach challenges constructively

Essential
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
Degree or equivalent Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors NEC3/4 Experience
Desirable
Experience of managing and developing an individual or small tea Knowledge of CEMAR
