About the Company
A growing contractor operating across the Midlands is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team. This role offers genuine long-term progression, direct involvement in commercial strategy, and the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the business continues to scale.
About the Role
This position is ideal for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to step up, or an already Quantity Surveyor looking for a role with more influence, autonomy and career development.
Responsibilities
- Pricing tenders and negotiated works
- Preparing estimates and cost plans
- Producing monthly CVRs and commercial reports
- Managing applications for payment
- Valuing and agreeing variations
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts
- Procuring subcontractors and suppliers
- Cost forecasting and margin analysis
- Providing commercial advice to operational teams
- Developing commercial systems and reporting procedures
- Working closely with senior management to support business growth

Qualifications
- Experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor
- Background in social housing, refurbishment or planned maintenance (preferred)
Required Skills
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Experience producing CVRs, valuations and commercial reports
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop within a growing business

Pay range and compensation package
£50,000–£65,000 (DOE) + Car allowance + Company pension + Laptop and mobile phone + Performance-related bonus + Direct access to senior leadership + Genuine long-term progression within a rapidly growing organisation
