Location: Cambuslang (with hybrid working)
Salary: from £55,000 – £75,625 (depending on experience)
Role: Permanent, Full-time (37 hours per week)

We’re seeking two experienced Quantity Surveyors to join our Transmission business, playing a key role in overhead line and substation projects across Scotland and beyond. You’ll provide commercial leadership, ensure cost management under NEC4 contracts, and collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders—delivering Scotland’s most important energy projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial aspects from tender stage through to final account.
- Prepare and administer NEC4 contract documentation.
- Negotiate tender submissions and support procurement activities.
- Produce monthly valuations, forecasts, and commercial reports.
- Manage early warnings, compensation events, and change control processes.
- Ensure accurate commercial record-keeping across projects.
- Consult on commercial advice and risk management with project teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of commercial best practices.

Requirements
Key criteria
- Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or utilities.
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge with experience in cost control and procurement.
- Proven experience administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable
- MRICS accreditation.
- Previous experience in utilities, energy, or transmission sectors.
- Experience on major infrastructure or capital projects.
Minimum qualifications
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent significant experience.
