🚀 Quantity Surveyor – Water & Utilities

📍 Durham | 🏠 Hybrid Working | 💰 Up to £55k + Bonus + Benefits

I'm working with a growing engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of key frameworks and infrastructure projects across the North.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced commercial team, working closely with major utility clients and contractors to deliver high-quality commercial support across the full project lifecycle.

🔧 The Role:

  • Support the delivery of infrastructure projects from inception through to completion
  • Work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors across a portfolio of major projects
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships
  • Manage projects using NEC3/NEC4 contracts
  • Prepare estimates and cost plans
  • Provide procurement advice and support tender documentation
  • Administer contracts and manage project cost control
  • Produce cost reports and prepare final accounts
  • Attend client meetings and site visits across the North and Midlands
  • Lead commercial activities across multiple projects while maintaining excellent client service

👤 What You'll Need:

  • Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure, utilities, engineering, or construction
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts
  • Post-contract commercial management experience
  • Excellent project cost management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • Experience within the water industry or wider utilities sector
  • Pre-contract experience including contract documentation
  • Working towards MRICS or MCICES accreditation
