Quantity Surveyor
We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major infrastructure and environmental projects across a long-term public sector framework. This opportunity would suit a commercially driven QS with strong civil engineering experience and a proven background working within NEC contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
- Preparing applications for payment and commercial reporting
- Cost forecasting and budget control
- Managing compensation events and change control processes
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts
- Maintaining accurate records and contractual documentation

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong NEC3 / NEC4 contract knowledge
- Experience working on framework or public sector projects preferred
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable Experience
- Water, environmental, highways, or heavy civils sector experience
- Experience working alongside tier-one contractors or major frameworks
- Chartered or working toward professional accreditation
