Quantity Surveyor | Main Contractor | South East London
Salary: £50,000.00 - £70,000.00 per annum Type: Full Time Location: Docklands, London
About the Role
Ready to take the next step in your Quantity Surveying career?
We're working exclusively with a long-established, financially secure Main Contractor delivering refurbishment, fit-out, and framework projects across London and the South East.
Due to continued growth and an evolving commercial team, they’re looking to appoint an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to work alongside an experienced Commercial Manager and play a key role in the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities
You’ll be involved in the full commercial lifecycle of multiple projects, including:
- Preparing CVRs and cost reports
- Managing valuations and variations
- Commercial reporting and subcontract management
- Working on JCT contracts and framework agreements
- Visiting sites across London while supporting project delivery from the South East London office

Projects range from:
- Commercial fit-outs
- Education
- Heritage and retail refurbishment schemes
- Public sector framework works (typically valued between £100k and £2.5m).
Requirements
- Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor
- Experience level: Assistant QS with post 2-3 years’ and above
- Main contractor experience preferred (consultancy candidates with strong contracting exposure will also be considered)
- Experience with:
- CVRs
- Valuations
- Variations
- Cost reporting
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail
- Ambitious, accountable, and keen to progress within a supportive commercial team
