Role Description
The Quantity Surveyor will work on-site in Shepperton in a full-time capacity, supporting the commercial and residential construction and refurbishment projects managed by Mullen Property Services Ltd. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Preparing and managing bills of quantities
- Monitoring project costs
- Ensuring budgets are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Cost planning
- Cost reporting
- Supporting tender processes, including evaluating subcontractor quotations and preparing financial summaries
- Collaborating with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to track progress, manage variations, and ensure financial and contractual obligations are met
- Contributing to value engineering, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Maintaining accurate documentation and reports

Qualifications
- Strong cost control and cost management skills to monitor budgets and maintain financial oversight on multiple projects
- Experience with BOQ (Bills of Quantities), including preparation, measurement, and verification of quantities for tenders and ongoing works
- Proven abilities in cost planning and cost reporting to support forecasting, cash flow management, and regular project financial updates
- Solid knowledge of construction processes and materials, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in MS Office and quantity surveying or cost management software; familiarity with UK construction standards and regulations is beneficial
