Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for a proactive and commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with experience in civils and infrastructure. VolkerFitzpatrick is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Southern Renewals Enterprise (SRE), working within the Earthworks team delivering critical rail infrastructure upgrades across the Southern region. This is a key commercial role where you will support the successful delivery of earthworks packages, ensuring robust cost management, value delivery, and strong commercial governance across complex rail projects.

About you Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or infrastructure projects Strong understanding of NEC contracts (NEC3/NEC4 preferred) Experience in subcontract management and cost reporting Strong analytical and negotiation skills Ability to build relationships across multidisciplinary teams Experience within rail, earthworks, or geotechnical projects Knowledge of Network Rail standards and processes Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or commercial management Progressing towards or already achieved RICS/ICES chartership If your past experience doesn't match perfectly with every requirement of the job description, we still encourage you to apply.
