THE ROLE
My client, a small, growing firm of PQS, seeks a QUANTITY SURVEYOR who is either:
- Working towards taking the APC, or
- Recently chartered
to join them in Oxfordshire.
They work on a good range of projects, including:
- Offices
- High-end residential
- Schools
- Churches
- A small amount of healthcare projects
THE COMPANY
My client is a smallish, busy firm of PQS based in Oxfordshire.
THE CANDIDATE
- You will be a Quantity Surveyor currently working for a UK PQS firm.
- Eligible to be either:
- Working towards obtaining the APC, or
- Recently chartered with the RICS
- My client can offer good support to complete the APC or complete existing gaps.

Required Experience:
-
Strong experience in both pre- and post-contract work, including:
- Contract administration
-
Ability to take ownership of live projects from start to completion (handover)

Experience in:
- Developing cost plans
- Preparing tender documentation
- Conducting tender analysis

Experience in managing contractor procurement and providing client recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Structured UK qualification in a relevant field (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or similar)
- 2+ years of experience working in a PQS firm

- Strong written and spoken communication to liaise across all levels of stakeholders
- Suits candidates who would prefer:
- Autonomy over handling their own projects (typically valued between £500K–£15M)

- Valid UK driving licence
