Equans is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team. You will be based in our head office in Hatfield whilst attending our site in Harringay on a weekly basis. This is a full-time role. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Take ownership of the commercial, financial and contractual management of the framework.
- Manage a programme of planned works across residential properties, blocks and high-risk buildings.
- Validate properties and scopes of work, prepare cost proposals and submit pricing for client approval.
- Oversee all commercial activities including applications for payment, valuations, variations, cash flow forecasting and CVRs.
- Ensure effective cost control, maximise profitability and proactively manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Procure and manage subcontractors in line with contractual requirements and our Commitments to Subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, stakeholders and the supply chain.
- Ensure cost reports, financial reporting and commercial documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Support the delivery of planned maintenance works including roofing, windows, brickwork, front entrance doors, electrical, mechanical and scaffolding works.
- Provide commercial leadership to the framework, working closely with the Assistant Quantity Surveyor and wider project team.

Who are you?
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor within planned maintenance, social housing, refurbishment or construction projects.
- Experience of working within framework contracts, with knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates and/or target price model frameworks being highly desirable.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent influencing and negotiation skills to maximise value and profitability across contracts.
- Experience managing valuations, applications for payment, CVRs, cash flow forecasting and variations.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, including experience with commercial management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK driving licence.
