We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Building Solutions South team based in Sheffield
Location: Sheffield
Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 - 40 hours a week
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Building Solutions North team. You'll be managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts. The successful candidate will be working from site or office 3+ days per week, playing a vital role in delivering high quality projects.
What will you be responsible for?
As a Quantity Surveyor, You'll Be Working Within The Building Solutions North Team, Supporting Them In Delivering High Quality Projects For Key Strategic Clients. Your Day To Day Will Include
- Managing commercial resources to maximise planned gross margin and support budgeted profitability
- Tendering, evaluating and appointing subcontractors, and placing orders for materials and plant
- Identifying, evaluating and negotiating variations to contracts with customers and suppliers
- Measuring and valuing work to support invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers
- Producing monthly VCRs and End Life Forecasts, and managing cashflows

What are we looking for?
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You have diverse and clear communication skills with experience working with multidisciplinary teams, clients and supply chains
- You hold relevant qualifications (Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying desirable) and have experience in a similar role
- You have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- You're flexible and able to work as part of a team and using your own initiative
- You can use a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages
