We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Energy team on the Fasnakyle to Bingally Cable Upgrade and overhead powerline project. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of works, delivering projects of varying scale and complexity within a highly collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
You will support the team across commercial, procurement, and finance activities, providing full commercial support and timely, accurate contract administration.

Role Responsibilities
- Provide commercial interface support to aid delivery of contracted work, assisting the commercial lead within a geographically focused team.
- Produce accurate and timely commercial reports and provide informed commercial advice to the management team to help achieve contractual commercial targets.
- Support and progress subcontract procurement, ongoing management, and final account resolution.
- Contribute to the delivery and accountability of both internal and external project commercial targets.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all commercial and project data communicated to stakeholders.
- Identify and escalate current or potential issues to the project leadership team.
- Support compliance with approved processes, procedures, project execution plans, and collaborative management plans.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement in the quality and performance of Quantity Surveying activities.
- Use (or be willing to develop) knowledge of finance systems such as COINS.
- Support and manage upstream and downstream change control processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management across the project.
Skills, Experience And Qualifications
- Educated to BSc level in Quantity Surveying or another commercially related discipline, with intent to work toward professional membership (e.g., RICS or CIOB).
- Experience using Contract Management Systems such as CEMAR or FastDraft.
- Experience working within a project commercial team or independently.
- Preferably experienced with NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
- Civil Engineering experience with NEC Option C awareness.
- 3–5 years’ experience, reporting into a senior member for strategic and management guidance.

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.
Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid filled and XLPe), substations and overhead line, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
