The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, playing a key role in delivering projects ranging from £10,000 to £5 million.

Goal: Commercially minded Quantity Surveyor with specialist experience in joinery, fit-out, or interiors.
You will:
- Provide commercial leadership from project inception through to the final account
- Support the wider business with expert commercial and contractual advice
- Join a collaborative and supportive team with opportunities for professional development and career progression
Key Responsibilities
collaboration, planning, and execution of projects:
- Manage change control processes, identifying, pricing, and negotiating project variations
- Assist with cost-to-complete forecasting and cost-value reconciliations (CVRs)
- Prepare and submit applications for payment and negotiate agreements with clients
- Provide commercial input into production planning and project programmes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Work closely with the Procurement Manager on the procurement of materials and subcontract packages
- Provide contractual and commercial guidance across the business
- Support the Estimating team with commercial input and estimate preparation when required
- Attend site visits and meetings as necessary across various project locations
About You – Essential Requirements
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who:
- Combines strong commercial acumen with detailed industry knowledge and a proactive approach

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' Quantity Surveying experience
- Proven background within joinery fit-out, interiors, or specialist carpentry projects
- Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Proficient in via quantity surveying vocabulary (CVRs, cost-to-complete forecasting, etc.)
Skills & Qualities:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues
- Professional, adaptable, and solutions-focused approach
- Strong IT skills and openness to new technologies and innovations
Qualifications:
- A Levels and/or higher education qualification
Location
The role is primarily based at our Head Office in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, with occasional travel to project sites as required.
