As they continue to expand their portfolio, they are seeking a talented and driven Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. Whether you are looking for a stable permanent career move or a long-term freelance assignment, we want to hear from you.
The Role
In this role, you will split your time between the modern Market Harborough head office (2–3 days a week) and active project site visits. You will take commercial responsibility for projects from inception to final accounts, ensuring delivery remains on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of construction projects, maximising cash flow and profitability.
- Procure, manage and settle accounts for subcontractors.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, value variations and manage risk.
- Prepare accurate monthly commercial reports, cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and cash flow forecasts.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Site Teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Industrial Logistics Experience (Essential): You must have a proven track record working on industrial sheds, logistics hubs, distribution centers or major commercial warehouses.
- Main Contractor Background: Experience working directly for a reputable Main Contractor.
- Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant commercial construction discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Mobility: Full UK driving license to accommodate site visits across the region.
- Attributes:
- Strong negotiation skills
- A sharp eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
