Location: Birmingham, England (Mixture of local office, home, and client sites) Permanent, Full-time – Flexible working & core hours

What You’ll Do
- Operate NEC and other contract forms, ensuring compliance with processes and timelines
- Collaborate with design and planning teams to embed commercial considerations early in project decisions
- Manage contractors and suppliers alongside clients and stakeholders, ensuring alignment
- Support or lead a small commercial team, setting objectives and monitoring performance
- Ensure clarity and alignment among stakeholders regarding budgets, risks, and contractual obligations
- Provide cost planning, budgeting, monitoring, and control throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain financial reporting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for client deliverables
- Conduct value engineering and whole-life cost analysis to optimise value for money

What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, ideally within Infrastructure, Civil, Rail, or Utilities
- Strong communication, problem-solving, mediation, and numeracy skills
- Methodical approach with adaptability to fast-changing environments
- Ideally, qualified (HNC, HND, or Degree) in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline (alternative credentials considered)
- Professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIPS, CIOB) are valuable but not mandatory
