Quantity Surveyor - Balfour Beatty (@one Alliance)
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid working available)

As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll act as the commercial conscience of the integrated delivery team, providing essential support across both delivery management and site teams. You’ll ensure robust cost control, maximise value, minimise risk, and maintain high standards of quality and safety, while ensuring full compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance processes.
What you'll be doing
Key responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management of a project or group of projects as designated by the Project Commercial Manager.
- Ensure robust cost management processes are always undertaken with accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis on hand to assist in commercial decisions.
- Ensure that all project team members (including site staff) understand the contractual arrangements, to satisfy Client & Partner organisation requirements.
- Work in collaboration with the Delivery Team to identify, implement and monitor efficiency plans throughout the lifecycle of a project or programme of projects.
- Ensuring that proper records (including final accounts) are kept & maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily available.

Who we're looking for
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in cost management within a construction environment
- Degree (or equivalent) in an engineering, commercial or cost discipline desirable
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
- Strong understanding of construction, contracts, and health & safety
- Confidence to challenge processes and drive improvements
