About The Role
We are seeking a proactive, detail-driven Quantity Surveyor to join our innovative project teams and support the commercial operations of high-quality civil engineering construction projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing valuations
- Sub-contract procurement
- Cost control & reporting
- Change control & contract administration
You’ll be the backbone of project financial management, ensuring projects stay on track, within budget, and compliant with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Financial & Contractual Management
- Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final project accounts
- Work with NEC3/NEC4 (New Engineering Contract) and related civil engineering contracts
- Identify, notify of, and assess compensation events
- Assign and award sub-contract procurement based on project timelines

Measurement & Valuation
- Measure construction quantities on-site and from drawings when required
- Produce accurate internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities, and cost reconciliation reports, adhering to schedules

Risk Mitigation
- Notification of early warnings to minimise project risks
- Management of site-based risks, ensuring they do not compromise fiscal or programme objectives

Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain detailed site records with the project team
- Work closely with the project manager to monitor progress
- Keep stakeholders updated on project tasks

Qualifications & Experience
✔ HND (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering) ✔ Practical experience working on civil engineering projects
