Wates Smartspace are looking for Project Surveyors to join our construction team in the South, focussing on high profile, technically complex projects across multiple sectors. About The Role
Our Quantity Surveyors are a valuable part of our business, where they lead the team on a project or cluster of packages having full accountability for the development and implementation of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting. Surveyors take the lead; working collaboratively with our customers and industry specialists with a firm focus on added value, compliance, commercial viability, and best practice.

As Our Project Surveyor You Will
- Manage project costs, budgets, and forecasts across fit-out and refurbishment schemes.
- Prepare valuations, cost reports, and oversee financial controls throughout the project lifecycle.
- Procure and manage subcontractors, including tender evaluation and contract administration.
- Track and manage variations, change control, and commercial risks.
- Support project teams on live operational sites, providing clear commercial insight and guidance.
- Administer NEC/JCT contracts and ensure compliance with all commercial obligations.
- Lead final accounts, claims resolution, and accurate commercial documentation.
- Drive value engineering and support sustainability-focused solutions within project delivery.
