Success Recruit are currently working with a dynamic and employee-owned multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Essex who are continuing to grow and are excited to be recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and proactive Quantity Surveyor with 4–5 years’ industry experience looking to further develop their career within a supportive consultancy environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of Education, Residential and Healthcare projects, with values ranging from £250,000 to £50 million, whilst taking ownership of projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
Working within a client-side consultancy, this varied role offers exposure across every stage, from early cost planning and procurement through to contract administration, project delivery and final account. This position would suit someone who enjoys building strong client relationships and is looking to progress their career within a growing and forward-thinking business.
The Successful Quantity Surveyor Will Have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction-related qualification
- Approximately 4–5 years’ experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a consultancy or contractor environment
- A sound understanding of cost planning, procurement, contract administration and commercial management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong client relationships.

The Quantity Surveyor Will Be Offered:

The successful Quantity Surveyor will join an experienced and supportive team, taking responsibility for the commercial management of projects whilst working closely with clients, contractors, and design teams. This role offers genuine autonomy, excellent career progression and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and detailed cost plans throughout all project stages
- Produce tender documentation, undertake tender analysis and prepare recommendation reports
- Administer contracts and provide commercial advice throughout project delivery
- Manage project costs, interim valuations, variations and final accounts
- Prepare accurate cost reports and procurement strategies for clients
- Attend client meetings and site visits, ensuring projects remain on programme and within budget
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors and the wider project team
- Support junior team members where appropriate and contribute to the continued success of the Quantity Surveying team
