Contract Details
- Type: 3-month contract (Outside IR35)
- Rate: Circa £450 per day
- Frequency: 2–3 days per week (hybrid)
- Location: Primarily remote, with occasional site visits to Aberdeen
About the Role
An experienced Quantity Surveyor is needed to deliver key commercial and contractual support on a major offshore infrastructure project within a leading North Sea operator. This is a short-term contract opportunity focused on a high-profile pipeline project, ensuring alignment with contractual terms while providing strategic oversight.

Responsibilities
- Review and challenge variation order requests, ensuring full compliance with contractual agreements and settlement terms
- Manage contractor variations and assess their commercial viability
- Liaise with third-party Quantity Surveying teams to achieve agreement on shared commercial matters
- Support contract close-out activities for major pipeline projects
- Provide commercial and contractual guidance to the broader project team

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in energy, engineering, infrastructure, or major project sectors
- Strong background in contract administration and commercial management
- Ability to review, challenge, and negotiate variation orders effectively
- Immediate availability to start
This role combines remote flexibility with occasional travel to Aberdeen and project sites. Most productive contributions can be delivered through collaborative tools and in-person reviews as required.
