We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Severn Trent Framework based in Solihull with travel over the Midlands.
Location: Solihull with travel over the Midlands
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be joining our Commercial team, working alongside Project Engineers, Procurement Coordinators, Planners, Site Team Leaders and Site Managers to deliver exceptional results on our water projects. You'll play a vital role in controlling costs, maximising value and maintaining quality standards whilst supporting the successful delivery of complex civil projects across the Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful infrastructure work that makes a real difference to communities.
Responsibilities
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Controlling costs, maximising value and minimising future liabilities whilst maintaining quality and safety standards
- Procuring subcontractors in line with commercial standards, ensuring best value for Kier and our clients
- Preparing accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts, cost analysis and cost to complete documentation
- Assessing contractor valuations, applications for payment and preparing monthly submissions to clients
- Compiling final accounts and client reports whilst managing internal and subcontractor queries

What We're Looking For
This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
- You hold a degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying with sound commercial and business knowledge
- You have experience working with complex civil projects within the water industry
- You possess excellent organisational, planning and time management skills with the ability to work to demanding deadlines
- You have experience working with NEC suite of contracts
- You hold a full driving licence
