Senior Quantity Surveyor – Energy & Infrastructure
Freelance / Contract Opportunit yAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major energy and infrastructure projects valued between £1m and £20m .Working closely with project delivery teams, you will take ownership of commercial management, contract administration, risk mitigation, and financial performance across a portfolio of high-value projects
. Key Responsibilitie s:Lead commercial management activities across multiple infrastructure project s.Review, negotiate, and manage both client and subcontractor contract s.Administer NEC contracts, including compensation events and change managemen t.Prepare, assess, and defend construction claims and commercial submission s.Monitor project costs, forecasts, budgets, and profitabilit y.Support dispute resolution and commercial risk managemen t.Provide commercial guidance to project teams and senior stakeholder

s. Requiremen ts:Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within energy, utilities, or major infrastructure projec ts.Strong NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge, particularly Option A.Demonstrable experience managing projects valued at £5 m+.Strong background in claims preparation, assessment, and negotiati on.Excellent understanding of cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporti ng.Experience supporting dispute resolution, adjudication, or contractual negotiations is highly desirab le.Knowledge of construction law or formal qualifications in the field would be advantageo
